This literally popped into my head just now: when Shenron revived everyone killed by Cell, why weren't King Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory revived?

Cell Saga, they wished to revive everyone that Cell killed. Your right. BUT I think it may work differnt with the Kais. Once your dead your dead. And if thats NOT the case then I think when King Kai died he would have been wished back in to space where he would have died because his planet was destroyed. He wished to stay with goku neways, show him aorund and stuff.

So my opinions/theories to answe your question:
-It works differntly with Kais, once you die you can't be wished back
-He had no planet to go back to so he would have died in space
-Didnt wanna go back, instead chose to train Goku in the other world
-Maybe he was wished back by the Dragonballs before and couldn't be wished back neways

As for Gregory and Bubbles, I dunno I think they wouldv'e been happier with King Kai then being wished back and living on there own. There purpose was to help train people so they stuck with it in peace.

It's very simple why King Kai is still dead even after the Dragon wish every1 Cell killed alive. PLOTHOLE is probably the most accurate answer to your question seeing that DBZ has tons.

Yes plothole. I would assume that everyone in the other world is already dead. But when a god dies, they just get a halo i suppose.

Then i will make a explaination why Plothole is the most accurate answer.

The Dragon actually work the same way to any being including the Kais. Kibito a being scared and worthy enough to be chosen by the Supreme Kai as a helper has access to the most sacred place the Supreme Kia's Planet that no other Kai other than the higher tiers of the Kais can stand foot in. When Dabura killed Kibito the Dragon brought him back to life so if Kibito in turn of a being that is higher than most other Kai other than the higher tiers then it should of work for King Kai. Plothole proves my point here.

I agree with you that probably King Kai either wishes not 2 get wish back alive to travel around with Goku.

Reasons
1. If he trully did get wish back he had to stay in his post to watch over the Eastern side of the universe.
2. He had no planet to stay in so even though he get wish back he had to stay in his post and to make it worst he had no planet to live in.
3. If I include the filler than he probably wanted to boost to the other Kais that he had a new high tier fighter.

So it's either plothole or he wishes not 2 get wish back.

DBZNerd, we know it's a plothole, it's just more fun to try and find an explanation to it, rather than just "Plothole"-ing it :P

Just looked this up in the manga.

"The Lord of the Worlds could have come back to life with Shenlong's wish, but he's staying to keep me company."

We can only assume Gregory and Bubbles wanted to stay with King Kai. Plus, their planet was destroyed, so they'd have nowhere to be revived.

well didnt goku refuse to come back to earth when the pother wished him to be brought to them at the end of the frieza saga so why can't king kai do the same once goku's explained his plans.

Yes I did, and I must say I didn't expect such in-depth discussions.

Here's what I think: the wish was to bring back everyone that Cell killed, but I think, technically, it was Goku who killed King Kai. Cell could not have stopped the explosion, even if he wanted to, so he didn't really have a choice as to who would killed by it after being transported away from his INTENTIONAL target. But Goku INTENTIONALLY took him to King Kai's planet, and I think it's this intention that is the key to the wording of the wish.

Well there you go. Answered ur own question lol. No but anythings possible. All these theories and more could be the reason behind this obvious plothole. Of course a simple answer from A.T. would solve it lol.
